Department of Foreign Languages
Department of Foreign Languages, established in 1999, is the largest department in the Institute, which offers 3 undergraduate degree programs: English, TESOL and Japanese. These programs have enjoyed great popularity and favor from potential students and our own students and have satisfied their expectations, the evidence of which can be found in the high employment rate of our graduates and the high praise from their employers. The department consists of 5 teaching sections, namely, English Major Section, TESOL Section, College English Section I, College English Section II and Vocational Education Section.
Staff of Department The department has a faculty of 130 professors, associate professors and instructors, among whom 20 possess doctorate and master degrees in Applied Linguistics and TESOL, and 15 are international staff. Many of the Chinese teachers have studied in or visited the United States, Britain, Australia, etc.
Facilities The facilities are composed of 20 advanced multimedia classrooms, two CALL centers, one international trade simulation lab, and one library which boasts a large volume of books in foreign language study.
